Wuzhong Beijing Olympic Torch relay

Wuzhong (吴中）is situated in the center of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, a long history, well-developed culture, picturesque landscape and abundant natural resources. Wuzhong District has 6 out of 13 scenic zones in the Taihu Lake area that are under the development plan of State Council. Over 100 historic sites and places of interests scatter in the district.

In the recent years, Wuzhong District has been accelerating the development of around-Taihu Lake tourism. Characteristic tourism programs such as Taihu Lake landscape, ancient town and village, modern recreation etc. have been popular more than ever. Taihu Lake is a tourism, vacation and recreation place known at home and abroad which attracts more than 3 million domestic and foreign tourists each year.

Nowadays, Wuzhong may be famous for Beijing Olympic torch, that relay in Wuzhong, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, June 30, 2008.
